Mazars response to Covid-19

Given the recent evolution of COVID-19 across the world, Mazars is taking the necessary actions to prevent contagion of the virus amongst our client, staff members and their families, whilst maintaining that uninterrupted top-quality service provision to our clients remains our highest priority.

Our firm has been working diligently over the last few weeks to establish practical and sustainable business continuity plans in the context of this pandemic. We have implemented multiple and effective safety measures in accordance with our plan, a few of which include:
• Practicing hygiene and safety measures recommended by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Government of Botswana.
• Limiting gatherings and attendance at meetings to a total number of fewer than 50 people to minimize exposure.
• Discouraging social gatherings until further notice.
• Engaging in, and encouraging, the use of business technology including video-conferencing and virtual team portals to ensure productivity for both internal and external meetings.
• Deep-cleaning and disinfection of the Mazars premises.
• Making hand-sanitizers available on all office floors and meeting rooms and automated soap dispensers in all washrooms and encouraging their usage.
• Travel restrictions to limit possible exposure of our employees and customers.
• Self-quarantine of any employees having traveled to any affected area.
• Continuous internal and external communication of status updates regarding the pandemic.
• A remote working policy, to minimize the number of staff having to come together at the office, is drafted and will be implemented as soon as the risk requires so to.
We would require your wholehearted support during these testing times by helping us dispense our duties towards you with the restrictions on physical proximity. We need your co-operation by making data and information available to us online, in electronic format, and restricting our meetings to emails and calls (either WhatsApp or normal). We use Microsoft teams in our office, and it can be used to share files or to carry-out online meetings. You may liaise with your relationship managers for this.
We would further like to wish you and your loved one's safety and good health during these uncertain times. Keep yourself safe, and others. Shall you require any additional information or have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact your relationship manager.
